Moroccanoil Moisture Repair Conditioner

I absolutely love the original Moroccanoil treatment so I was really excited to a bottle of Moroccanoil-branded conditioner as part of a gift.

Unfortunately, while this conditioner has that familiar Moroccanoil smell, and even contains some of the same ingredients, such as fatty acids, proteins and of course argan oil, it just doesn’t deliver the soft, silky results that the original treatment does.

In order to test this product out, I did try it several times paired with only shampoo (sometimes Dove’s Nourishing Oil Care shampoo, sometimes L'Oreal Men Total Clean) and every time the results were just okay. Morrocanoil claims that this product will, “…restore elasticity, moisture and manageability” and you know what, maybe it did restore all of those things to my hair and my hair is just naturally okay. But I don’t want just okay hair, I want amazing hair and I’m not getting that from this conditioner
This colour-safe product is intended for, “…hair that has been weakened or damaged by color, chemical processing or heat styling.” I highlight my hair three times a year and don’t generally use heat on it so maybe my hair just wasn't damaged enough to see any results from this product.

Or, and this is more likely, this is just a so-so conditioner. At least it’s free of sulfates, phosphates and parabens.

Would I buy this product:
Nope.

Should you buy it: There are so many good conditioners out there that I don’t think you should bother with this one.
