So here’s what I received this time around:
- Olay CC Cream – Total Effects Tone Correcting Moisturizer (full-sized)
- Cavelli Just perfume sample (5 ml)
- Essie polish in Shake Your $$ Maker (full-sized)
- Philosophy Purity Made Simple Facial Cleanser (30 ml)
- Barefoot Venus Sugar Leaf Shea Butter Hand Cream (60 ml)
- Two Knotties hair ties
- Condition Culture Featherlocks hair feather
- Loose Buttonb rand foundation brush
In total, that’s nine individual items, two of which (the CC cream and the nail polish) are full-sized. The CC cream alone retails for around $20 while the Knotties hair ties are about $2 each so right there is the cost of my box.
I’m quite pleased that I received the Olay CC cream as I’ve wanted to try it out since it was released (mostly because it looks really cool in its clear, pump packaging). The same goes for the Knotties, both of which are conveniently in the colours that I would have picked for myself.

And I’m always up for more prettily scented items, like Cavelli’s Just and the Barefoot Venus moisturizer, as well as more beauty tools, like the foundation brush.
Even the items that I’m not excited about are at least useful. For example, I’m one of the few people out there who are unimpressed by Philosophy’s Purity face wash. However, I happen to need a travel-sized face wash for an upcoming trip and this one will be fine for a few days.
I’m also not a fan of Essie nail polish but I do quite like the bright green colour that I received. Even though I know this polish is going to disappointment me, I’m still going to use it.
In fact, I’ll be using everything in this box, even the hair feather. While hair feathers aren’t really my thing, a visit to Condition Culture’s website showed me another way that I could use them: On my dog. Doesn't he look pretty?
No, Dexter isn't a big fan of his new fur decoration |
So yeah, I think I might just have to stick with Luxe Box for a little longer.
I am in love with my Vanilla Shake lotion from Barefoot Venus that I got in my luxe box. Did you get the offer for 20% off at Barefoot Venus online?
