Stila Convertible Color Dual Lip & Cheek Cream

Any beauty product addict knows that many items can do double-duty. Using lipstick as blush is one of the better-known tricks and it’s this one that Stila’s used to create its Convertible Color Dual Lip & Cheek Cream.

According to the write-up that accompanied my free sample (thanks Sephora!) of this product, “Stila’s multi-tasking convertible color is creamy, sheer tint that adds an inherent glow to the cheeks, while lips bloom with fresh, radiant color.” This “winner of numerous beauty awards” also contains vitamin E, is supposedly non-greasy and somehow provides color that is both “rich” and “translucent.”

The Winner Of Mascara Week Is...

Mascara Week is wrapping up here on Stuff Lindsay Bought so, without any more fuss, here’s who came out on top as well as how the losers rank:

Now, I need to quickly add that this was a very, very tight competition and that the top three mascaras are all great products. While they’re not perfect, they will visibly enhance your lashes with minimal-to-no flaking or smudging. And actually, depending on what you’re after, the #3 mascara actually might be your #1.

Stila Glamoureyes Mascara

We've got another strong contender in my Mascara Week mascara showdown: Stila Glamoureyes Mascara. This product that comes armed with a ton of claims and impressively, I found most of these claims to be true.

Most of them. Let’s start with the claims that just didn’t match my reality. While this is a great mascara, it did not create the “…softest, plushest lashes ever” and it was not “…without clumping” (though there wasn't much clumping). And no, it won’t replace false lashes or “…stop traffic with the blink of an eye.”

Also, I don’t agree that, “a single stroke instantly lengthens, volumizes and curls for long, luscious lashes.” However, multiple strokes certainly do and the end result is indeed a “…dramatic, wide-eyed look” that “…transforms eyes from ordinary to alluring.”
