This year's event isn't as high value as some past years' but it's still higher than normal with 95,000 points being worth $200, $30 higher than the normal $170 redemption point. The second highest points level, 50,000, also has an increased value, $100 instead of $85.
These bonus values are the same as last year's so at least the value of these events isn't being further reduced. I have though read online rumours about how Shoppers' new owners, Loblaws, will be reducing the number of bonus redemption events, possibly to as few as two a year. So yah, if you have lots of points, spend them this Saturday.
I'm due to have a baby on Friday, November 28. Is it wrong that I'm hoping Baby holds off on making his/her debut until November 30?
