The Babytime Show Is Coming

Are you a parent of a baby, toddler or preschooler? Or are you about to become a parent? If so, you probably want to check out The Babytime Show, taking place this weekend, November 11-13, at Toronto's Metro Convention Centre, North Building.

Calling itself "Toronto's original and must attend baby show," this event features, "...major brands, unique artisans, innovative products, important services, parenting experts, stellar education and top notch toddler entertainment all under one roof." This year's event includes a ton of seminars including one on how to survive the first 100 days with a newborn, another on car seat safety and of course one on infant sleeping. There's also a pregnancy massage clinic, dozens of vendors and a Diaper Derby, which unfortunately is only open to crawling babies, otherwise I would totally enter my daughter into it (she now mainly walks).

Since I'm now the mother to an almost-one-year-old, I do plan on attending this event. Last fall, I checked out my first baby show, The Baby Show, at the Enercare Centre (down in the CNE grounds). It's The Babytime Show's rival event and I'm curious to see how the two events compare. I enjoyed The Baby Show and thought it offered a pretty good selection of vendors and activities. It also gave away a nice swag bag that contained samples that I actually used. It's not clear if The BabyTime Show has swag bags but it does have contests.

Ticket prices are $17 for adults, $10 for grandparents and free for children 12 and under. If you purchase your tickets in advance, you can save $4. Just use the promo code UPPA (you'll also be entered to win a UPPAby Vista stroller).
