President's Choice Belgian Chocolate Square Baking Mix

Need to bring a baked good to an upcoming family gathering/office potluck/lazy friend’s party but can’t really bake? Then I suggest checking out President’s Choice Belgian Chocolate Square Baking Mix.

This product is super easy to make (in addition to the mix, you need water, oil and two eggs) but looks more impressive than your typical brownie mix because you get to drizzle it in melted-at-home dark chocolate. Besides looking fancy, this is a very tasty touch.


Also, this isn't a “brownie” mix, it’s a “square” mix and texture-wise the end result is like a cross between a brownie and a cake. Because they’re a bit of both worlds, there’re a good compromise for feeding a crowd and provide an answer for that eternal question: Cake or brownie? Personally I’m more of a brownie person but despite that, I did quite enjoy these yummy, moist squares.

My only complaint is that even though they are made with dark chocolate, they could have been richer and more decadent; but then what made-from-a-box dessert couldn’t be improved that way?

Another reason why this is a great “sharing” product is that one box makes a 9 x 9 inch pan of squares, which is bigger than what you get out of most brownie box mixes.

Of course, after you’ve tried these out, you may decide you don’t want to share them.
