Three Events For June

With Luminato, NXNE and the return of warm weather, June is always a busy month. If you’d like to make your June busier, and have some money to spend, check out these events:

Grand Summer Soirée Event
What:  Style at Home is throwing a summer party were you’ll “…receive expert advice on how you can host your very own stylish soirée.” It’ll be hosted by the magazine’s editor-in-chief Erin McLaughlin.
When & Where: 6:30 pm-9 pm, June 12 at Cube’s rooftop patio, 314 Queen St. W.
How Much: $35, available here.
What Does That Get Me: “Your evening includes: Entertaining and décor tips from Style at Home editors; signature cocktails with an expert mixologist; delicious hors d’oeuvres" and the first 200 ticket buyers will get “a stylish gift bag.”
Is Lindsay Going: No, I’m going to pass on this one.

John Frieda Presents An Evening of Beauty, Fashion, Style & Fun
What: While the focus will be on hair, with “Globe Style writer Tiyana Grulovic teaching you how to match your hairstyle with your wardrobe,” there will also be makeup lessons and a mini fashion show.
When & Where: 6 pm-9 pm, June 18 on the second floor of 461 King St. W.
How Much: $59, available here.
What Does That Get Me: Booze; food including Purdy’s chocolates; hair touch-ups from John Frieda-authorized stylists; makeup consolations from Benefit-authorized makeup artists and a gift bag valued at over $200 that will include, “a gift card from Want Boutique, a gift bag full of John Frieda hair care products, an exclusive gift from Benefit Cosmetics and delicious Purdy's Chocolates. “
Is Lindsay Going: If this wasn’t so pricey I would go. Yes, it does sound like you get an amazing gift bag for the price of your ticket but still, $59 is a lot of money for something like this.

The Smut Soiree
What: Gossip blogger Lainey is throwing another edition of her annual SMUT Soirée night; a celebration of all things gossip.
When & Where: 6 pm, June 25 at The Brickworks
How Much: The Toronto ticket price hasn’t been posted yet but tickets to the Vancouver edition cost $54.
What Does That Get Me: Based on the Vancouver date, and past Smut Soirées, you’ll get food;  wine;  vitaminwater; manicures;  a chance to win a number of prizes, including $1000 gift card from H&M and the latest Hollywood gossip straight from Lainey herself.
Is Lindsay Going: Of the three events listed, this is the one I’m most likely to go to however, it’s expensive and the location is a pain to get to. Maybe I’ll go if I can convince a friend to go.
