It's been awhile since I requested that Topbox send me one of its Privé boxes. Dedicated to a specific brand, the contents of a Privé box are announced in advanced, so you know what you're getting. Of course, just because you request a Privé box doesn't mean you're getting one.
Thankfully I did get my requested Topbox: The Bliss Privé box. Containing six items, plus an empty container to take to Sephora for an additional sample of my choosing, this is a fantastic box that should really give me a good taste of what Bliss has to offer.
Here's what I got:
- Fabulous Makeup Melt Gel-to-Oil Cleanser (20ml)
- That's Incredi-'peel'! Glycolic Resurfacing Pads (2 sample packets)
- Triple Oxygen Instant Energizing Foaming Mask (5ml)
- Triple Oxygen Radiant Protection Energizing Serum (5ml)
- Fabulous Drench'n'Quench (15ml)
- Lemon+Sage Body Butter (7ml)
I've tried a few Bliss products before, including the body butter (which I love) and the Drench'n'Quench (not a fan but I'll use it). I'm most looking forward to trying out the glycolic pads. They're pricey, $59 for only 30 pads, and I'm curious about how well they will work.
I'm just finishing up a bottle of face wash so they arrival of the Gel-to-Oil cleanser is perfect. I also need a new serum so I'll be trying that product out starting today. And while I don't need another face mask, I'll happily be trying out that item as well.
If any of the above products impress me, I think I'll use my free bonus sample to get more of that product because Bliss products are expensive.
In other Topbox news, the company is switching from including a physical product description card in each box to offering that information only online, in the subscriber's account as well as via a "spoiler" email. I have mixed feelings about this.
I do like that I'll have a digital record of each box and that I'll be able to easily look back at past boxes. However, the physical card is so convenient and I have no doubt that I'll miss is. It's also fun not to know what you're getting until your box arrives (yes, I could just not open the email but I don't have that kind of willpower). Funnily enough, my Bliss box came with two different cards, one produced by Topbox and a more detailed more produced by Bliss.
