The Body Shop Natrulift Firming Day Cream

I won this day cream, made with organic pomegranate, as part of my Body Shop prize pack. It’s not something that I would have bought on my own since, according to its packaging, it’s supposed to make skin feel “firmer” and wrinkles “softer”, two areas that don’t currently concern me.

But since I now own a jar of this product, I decided to try it out and I’m sort of glad I did. While I can’t comment on whether or not this cream does have, “…a temporary lifting effect”, it does make my skin brighter, softer and very moisturized.

Sometimes a little too moisturized. I did notice that if I put this cream on too heavily, it would cause anything I put on top of it (primer or foundation) to ball up. But as long as I applied this product with a light hand, that didn't happen.

A part from that, I did notice a couple other issues with this product including the fact that this is a day cream without any kind of sun protection. And since it’s a rich cream, blending sunscreen into it and then getting that new mixture to fully absorb into your skin is… challenging. Because of this issue, I actually used this “day cream” as a night cream.

The only other problem I found with this product was the smell: It sort of smells like Play-Doh. This scent didn't really bother me but I can see how it could be a turn-off for some.

While I don’t have wrinkles or sagging skin, I do have some fine lines on my forehead that visually vanished after applying this product. As a result, I do agree with this claim, “…skin is plumper and hydrated”.

At $30, this must be one of the pricier single items in The Body Shop catalogue but it seems to be worth the money.

Would I Buy This Again: No but only because I don’t need it.
Should You Buy It: You could certainly spend $30 on worse creams.
