SOS Lotion is everything that a good body lotion should be: It’s made with quality ingredients, feels luxurious and smells amazing. Oh, and it works.Barefoot Venus says that “Dry, chafed skin magically vanishes…” when this product is used and you know what, they’re right. This product instantly makes flakes vanish while regular use results in skin that looks and feels smooth, moisturised and healthy.
What makes this product work is its great list of ingredients that includes macadamia nut oil, sesame seed oil, wheat germ oil, lanolin and vitamin E. All of these items, plus more, work together to effectively fight dry skin while making this lotion feel like something far pricier than its $20 suggested retail price.
This lotion is definitely on the thick side and if I had to sum it up in one word, it would be “Rich.” As a result it doesn't absorb very quickly but once it’s gone, it’s gone, there’s no film or greasy feeling, just soft, smooth skin.
Barefoot Venus offers its SOS Lotion in a variety of scents. The one I'm using right now is mango scented and it’s one of the best-smelling lotions that I've ever had. It’s the perfect combo of sweet, fruity and nutty. And while the scent is noticeable, it’s not overwhelming.
I'm not familiar with the other SOS Lotion scents but if they’re even half as good as the Hunny Mango scent, I want them!
Would I buy this product again: Yes! Of course, first that means I have to track this product down. While it can be bought easily online, it can be hard to find in stores.
Should you buy this product: Yes! Though if you’re not a fan of scented products skip this item.
