My January 2015 Topbox

I’m going away for a couple weeks in February so I was really hoping that my January Topbox would be packed with items perfect to toss in my suitcase. Maybe a face wash, some hair products, a primer, that sort of thing. I sort of got my wish.

In this month’s box, I received these four, deluxe-sized samples:
  •  MeMeMe Cosmetics Cheek & Lip Tint (12ml)
  • Lise Watier Lift & Firm 3D Duo Serum 24 Hrs. (7ml)
  • Elizabeth Arden Flawless Future Powered by Ceramide Moisture Cream Broad Spectrum Sunscreen SPF 30 (2 x 3ml)
  •  Eyeko Mascara Off Eye Makeup Remover Wipes (10 wipes)
If I weren’t going on vacation, I would be a bit disappointed by this box because it lacks variety. While the Lise Water and Elizabeth Arden products do have different goals, they are both face creams. The other two items in the box are also face-oriented and while I don’t think I’ve received any wipes in the past, I’ve definitely received other cheek and lip duos.

However, since I have a trip down South in my near future, the sunscreen will be great to bring along. Yes, I’ll have my big bottles of Banana Boat, but it will be nice to have a fancy sunscreen that claims to “…smooth the look of pores and minimize the appearance of discolorations.”

I might even bring the Elizabeth Arden products along, to fight off signs of aging (though based on the product description, this item seems focused on “lifting”).

The wipes will also likely come along as they’ll be perfect to use on my multiple plane trips. Technically, there are makeup removal wipes but hopefully they’ll also lift away sweat, grim and plane germs. I guess I’ll find out.

The Cheek and Lip Tint definitely won’t be coming with. In all honesty, I’m not too excited about this product but I’ll try it anyway. I’m sure it’s a perfectly fine item but I need another cheek product like I need another anti-aging cream.

While I wasn’t impressed with this box, I was pleased to see that the Cheek and Lip Tint, which is a glass bottle filled with a red liquid, was carefully wrapped in bubble wrap. That was a smart move TopBox!
