Lise Watier Lift & Firm 3D Duo Serum 24 Hrs Review

Sometimes I try out products that aren't intended for my skin type because I think that maybe, just maybe, they will benefit me in some way. That was the situation with Lise Watier's Lift & Firm 3D Duo Serum 24 Hrs. This is actually two different serums, one for night and one for day. As the name suggests, both serums aim to work together to lift and firm sagging skin.

"Facial contours are visibly sculpted, skin’s density and firmness is visibly improved and skin looks smoother and more supple," claims Lise Waiter. The nighttime serum supposedly, "regenerates all night long to visibly firm the skin" while the daytime serum delivers an, "instant lifting effect" and "forms an invisible mesh on the skin’s surface for a visibly firmer appearance throughout the day."

Lise Watier Light Cap Nail Lacquer

I received my bottle of Lise Watier’s Light Cap Nail Lacquer in Stiletto as a thank-you for providing some feedback on a couple of the company’s new skincare products. It arrived along with a tube of Power Kiss Gloss and no note or other packaging, which is why I only just learned this product’s “secret.” But before I get to that, let’s talk about the polish’s actual performance.

The polish arrived a couple days before Halloween weekend and right away I wanted to try it. However the colour, a coral-tinged red, wasn’t quite right for my fingernails since I was going to be spending that Saturday night dressed up as the “Silver Glitter Fairy,” (yes, that’s something I made up). So instead I applied it to my toes.

At first, I was really impressed with this polish. Its formula wasn’t too thin or too thick and went on smoothly and easily. On some toes, one coat did the trick but out of habit, and because some other toes needed it, I applied a second, and times a third coat. As always, I used a base coat and wait until each coat was almost dry before I applied the next. Then I covered all of my toes with a fast-drying top coat, waited 20 minutes, and put on my socks, after first checking that my polish was dry.

In September, I was contacted by Lise Watier and asked to give a new – and unnamed – serum/moisturizer duo a try for exactly one week. As a thank-you for my feedback, I was then sent a nail lacquer and a lipgloss. That former item will be getting a review later this week – I need to see how while it wears first – so up today is Lise Watier’s Power Kiss Gloss.

This is an undeniably a great-looking product. The packaging is a durable, high-quality plastic that shows off the colour inside as well as some pretty, silver decor. The lid easily screws off and reveals a simple, but effective sponge-tipped wand that grabs just the right amount of gloss.

And just like its packaging, the gloss itself is pretty, practical and appealing. Described as a “…translucent coral-pink… “ it’s an ideal day gloss. It’s got some, but not too much shine, while the light colour adds just a touch of cheery pink. It’s a colour that, on me anyway, is flattering and versatile.

Lise Watier also describes this gloss as having a, “…comfortable, non-sticky, long-lasting formula.” Personally, I did find it to be a bit sticky but not uncomfortably so. It also didn’t feel chunky or overly slick.

This new line of eye colour is one of those products that some people are going to love while others aregoing to hate it. Personally, I love it because I like my shadow to be on the iridescent side, with the potential for vivid colour.

My September Topbox contained two small samples of this shadow, one in a peachy colour called Sunrise Peach and another is a vibrant green called Vert enchante. Both colours packed plenty of shimmer and shine, perhaps too much for some people, with a little going a long way.

I tried the green shade first and it was significantly more saturated then I was expecting. I actually ended up having to remove my first application of it because it was just too intense for daytime wear. While that might sound like a bad thing, it’s really a good thing for me because it means that this product is perfect for layering and gives me the option to up the drama when I want to. But people who prefer soft and natural looks will not get the full use out of this product.

Lise Watier 24 HRS Glam Mascara

Today’s review is on another Lise Watier product that claims to last but unlike the 12 Hrs Glam Flawless Complexion foundation, this one actually lives up to its name. Well, part of its name.

According to this mascara’s product write-up, it “…lasts all day, and all night for an astonishing 24 smudge-free, waterproof, sweatproof, humidity proof and, sob, tear proof hours.” Quite the claim but it’s one that, much to my surprise, is true.

OK, I didn’t cry while wearing this mascara but I did workout, shower and frequently touch my eyes. But no matter what I did, this mascara didn’t budge. No flaking, no smudge, no anything other than nicely enhancing my eyes with daytime-appropriate length and volume.

Lise Watier 12 Hrs Glam Flawless Complexion

As its name suggests, this foundation is all about providing coverage for multiple hours. While none of the packaging claims specifically state that this product will last for 12 hours, they do mention “long-lasting” and state how this item will provide, “…a perfectly flawless complexion that lasts all day long…”

If only this were true.

I tried wearing this foundation both on its own and over primer and while it did do better over primer (as one would expect), it started to fade in under four hours when I wore it on its own. And no, I wasn’t exercising or exposing my face to crazy weather (a couple of times I didn’t even go outside). While I wouldn’t expect any foundation to last for 12 hours, I did honestly think that maybe this product could last for six. But even with primer, it couldn’t reach that number.
